
Brilliant Adventures by Alistair McDowall, winner of a judges award in the Bruntwood Prize 2011, will be presented as a staged reading at the Royal Court Theatre on 2-3 March as part of their Young Writers Festival.
Selected from over 300 scripts by writers aged 25 and under, Brilliant Adventures is one of four plays to receive a reading at the Royal Court and is also under development at the Royal Exchange as part of its Bruntwood Prize win.

Alistair McDowall is 24-year-old writer from the North East of England. Previous plays include Plain Jane, Some Stories, and 5:30. He has been a writer-on-attachment at the Royal Court and is currently on attachment with Paines Plough. Brilliant Adventures was recently awarded a Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting in 2011. Caroline Steinbeis directs the staged reading of Brilliant Adventures at the Royal Court Theatre.
