The Royal Exchange Theatre is Manchester's leading producing theatre
company, based in the historic splendour of the Victorian cotton exchange building. We have a long history of producing new work for a large audience in our unique seven hundred and sixty seat theatre in the round. In addition, since the opening of our ninety-seat studio in 2002, we have produced a diverse range of premieres that has included international work, commissions by writers from the North West and plays for young people. The Royal Exchange is passionately committed to new writing as we believe that the new play is the most direct and
exciting way for the stage to make sense of the modern world.
