ARTS PATRONS TRUST LEGACY GRANT 2020

The Arts Patrons Trust is a London-based charity which has supported artists and artistic projects, predominantly in the performing arts, since 1981. Its activity will come to an end in 2020. As such, they are pleased to invite applications from early-career theatremakers for a one-off, final legacy grant of up to £25,000 to support a theatre project taking place in 2020.

The successful project will:
• Be led by a UK artist or artists with at least two professional theatre credits, but less than ten years of professional theatre experience
• Be led by, or involve on its core team, one or more artists who have faced significant barriers to their professional development in theatre
• Be scheduled for production in 2020 with a venue, dates and some other source of funding confirmed or expected. Please note that at least some of the performances must take place within the Greater London area.

The application form is available here: http://bit.ly/APTLGform

Deadline

Friday 28th February.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to discuss their proposals in more detail at an informal interview in central London in March. Reasonable travel costs can be covered.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an informal interview in central London in March. We anticipate that we will ask interviewees to provide proof of venue arrangements, performance rights (if applicable) and a budget. The interview itself will be an opportunity for us to get to know you and your artistic project and ambitions better. Interviews will be arranged with advance notice and reasonable travel costs can be covered.

The successful artist(s) will be asked to sign a simple letter of agreement undertaking to deliver a paid, professional production of the project in Greater London in 2020. No additional finance or resources will be available.
