EMERGE gives four emerging writers the opportunity to collaborate with a company of actors and directors to showcase their work to industry and receive mentorship. Previous EMERGE pieces have gone on to be performed at the Hampstead Theatre, The Old Red Lion and Camden People’s Theatre.
Guidelines
- They are looking for previously unproduced work and submissions can be short plays or extracts from a longer piece (no musicals).
- Submissions should be 20-25 minutes in duration have a maximum cast of 4 and mimimal set.
- There is no specific theme but you must submit new writing.
- Only one submission per writer will be accepted.
- All writers must be able to attend the final event. Flux will coordinate casting with the writer/director.

The next event is planned for the Arcola Theatre on 7th June 2020 – providing theatres are open.
