MAKE: Talawa x Graeae Collective 2019

Talawa x Graeae are Calling all BAME D/deaf and/or disabled artists interested in growing their skills and collaborating with peers. Whether a playwright, actor, theatre maker, director, dancer, artist, live artist or a designer…Talawa and Graeae want to hear from you!

Last year they ran a series of workshops inviting BAME D/deaf and/or disabled artists to share, grow and develop their art form. This year you, the artist, will shape the bespoke programme.

There will be a series of 6 sessions across April and May between 10.30am and 4pm. The first two Saturdays will act as tasters and in the following four sessions they would expect artists to attend each session.

Taster Sessions

  • Saturday 6th April
  • Saturday 13th April

Talawa Graeae Collective Sessions

  • Saturday 20th April
  • Saturday 27th April
  • Saturday 4th May
  • Saturday 11th May

All workshops will take place at Graeae, 138 Kingsland Rd, London E2 8DY(unless stated otherwise).

They endeavour to support as many artists as possible on a case by case basis. The building isfully accessible and they will provide BSL interpreters and access support workers across all stages of the programme as appropriate.

They are also offering travel bursaries to those who have travel restrictions.
