Squad grad May Sumbwanyambe has created a free Introduction to Playwriting Course, being offered online by Freedom Studios. This 8-week course will focus on the basics of theatre writing including; character, story, structure, plot development, writing realistic dialogue and theatricality. Applications are open until 29th May.

May Sumbwanyambe is an award-winning playwright from Edinburgh who is currently writing new stage plays, radio plays and films for the National Theatre of Scotland and the BBC. He is a lecturer in English and Creative Writing at Northumbria University, Associate lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University and is a PhD candidate at the University of York.
