The five day festival, which is supported by the National Lottery Project Grants from Arts Council England, features a vibrant programme that highlights the library network’s full offer, across wellbeing, culture and creativity, digital and information, and, of course, reading.

The Festival of Libraries programme takes place in internationally renowned institutions from Manchester’s rich tapestry of heritage libraries and Greater Manchester’s equally important and vital local libraries that deliver much needed support and services to their communities.

With a hybrid of online and in-person events, there’ll be something for everyone this June. Join us at parks, libraries, on walking tours, at dance, spoken word and music performances, getting messy with art, with your nose in a book or simply from your screen at home.
