Tell Yours 2018- free programme for storytellers

A DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR EMERGING STORYTELLERS FROM PLACES OTHER THAN HERE.

Do you enjoy telling stories and have some experience of performance?

Are you a 1st, 2nd or 3rd generation migrant?

Do you want to reimagine and perform myths, folklore and fairy tales but also ghost stories, epics, fantasy and sci-fi narratives from around the world with the help of a world-leading storyteller, theatre director and two arts producers?

Join #Tellyours2018, a free programme for emerging storytellers. The programme is organised by Filotico Arts in partnership with Counterpoints Arts and Words of Colour. The tutors will be storyteller Daniel Morden, theatre director Jennifer Tang, and producers Livia Filotico and Melanie Abrahams.

Led by an acclaimed storyteller from the UK, a theatre director and two producers, this 6-month fully funded development programme gives emerging storytellers the opportunity to hone their storytelling skills through a mix of workshops, discussions, mentoring, and showcasing opportunities.

You will learn about the craft of storytelling and about the business side: how do you go from telling a story to producing a show? And once you have a show, how do you go about putting it on and making a living from it?

The programme aims to create a new generation of storytellers that is diverse, curious, talented and trained to the highest standards by the best industry professionals across the performing arts.

Submission deadline: Nov 20th 2017
