Registered charity The Dot Collective who provide professional theatre and creative activities for those living with dementia are looking for three playwrights to join their project A Map to You

A Map to You is a storytelling project that will connect families living with dementia to professional playwrights. A series of sensory, reminiscent storytelling activities and workshops will be facilitated to create memory based, new short plays. The short plays will be produced for performance and film, with public performances and online screenings, for a diverse audience.

Playwrights will be connected with a family dealing with dementia who they’ll communicate with, developing their memories into a short play.

The majority of the work will be from home with occasional social, face-to-face visits with dementia participants (where possible).

They are looking for experienced, professional playwrights who are passionate about creating theatre for and with those with dementia, and are comfortable working in such an environment.
