Arts Emergency are looking for mentors who are based in or near London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Brighton.

In order to become an Arts Emergency mentor, you need to complete our mentor registration form and attend an online mentor training session. Once you complete the form, you will be sent the link to sign up for mentor training. Please use the same email when you fill in your registration and book your training.

Mentoring has the power to change lives. Mentor pairs meet for an hour every month to decide on goals for the year and then work towards achieving them. Mentees gain confidence and connections that help them to plan their next steps and succeed on their chosen path.

Most mentors have studied an arts or humanities subject at university or have worked in the creative industries for over four years. They match mentor pairs based on their shared interests and geographical location.

Mentor pairs meet once a month for about an hour. Traditionally these meetings happen face to face. Because of coronavirus and social distancing, meetings may need to take place by phone or video chat.

Mentors are all different, they’re especially keen to hear from people who may have shared experience with mentees, such as people who are Black, Asian or from a minoritised ethnic group, LGTBQIA+ people, disabled people and those who have identified as working class.

Most mentors have studied an arts or humanities subject at university level and/or have worked in the creative industries for 4+ years, although this isn’t a requirement, as people at the start of their careers often make great mentors.
