Arvon at home masterclass- MAKING YOURSELF USEFUL Zoom masterclass with Chris Thorpe

MAKING YOURSELF USEFUL- Zoom masterclass with Chris Thorpe

Thursday October 22nd 2020,

11:00am BST

Cost: £35

There are limited number of grants available for people on low-income. These are allocated on a first come first served basis. Please contact communications@arvon.org to apply.

In this workshop we’ll explore using our lives in our work. How can we tell our stories, talk about our experiences and invite audiences to do more than sit and listen? How can we be generous with our own lives and make them a lens to look at the world through? What are the new forms we can find to make ourselves as useful as possible in our work? The focus will be on writing for theatre and performance, but anyone writing in any form is welcome.

You could come with a story about yourself you’re burning to tell, or just because you’re curious about how you fit into your own work. For anyone at any stage – from ‘almost done’ to ‘I just had this idea…’

The masterclass will be delivered via Zoom and will last two hours (11:00am – 13:00pm) including time for you to write. You will need to have a computer or smart device and a reliable internet connection in order to participate. This is a live event only and it will not be recorded.
