ASYLUM Arts: ASYLUM Gym

Dates: 27 October and 24 November, 7-10 pm.

ASYLUM Gym is designed for 20 ambitious disabled and/or neurodivergent creative workers to help them access future opportunities in theatre, film, and performance. Hosted at Theatre Deli, London, they will offer six evening sessions covering a range of artist skill sets including writing effective job and funding applications, expressing, and having your access needs met, and negotiating networks and career relationships. The exact programme of workshops will be determined by consultation with the cohort and an advisory group.

Led by neurodivergent ASYLUM Artistic Director Stephen Bailey (Sir Peter Hall RTST Winner 2022, Barbican OpenLab artist, former resident assistant director Chichester Festival Theatre), and supported/mentored by WoLab, the scheme will have access support provided in the room and will offer transport bursaries to those with additional access needs or on Universal Credit/Employment support.
