BBC Contains Strong Language Festival

BBC Writersroom is always on the look-out for fresh talented writers across the UK and Republic of Ireland with an original voice, unique characters and great stories to tell. Join Emily Demol, Development Coordinator for BBC Writersroom North, who will provide you with information on how to submit your scripts, the BBC’s variety of schemes as well as some top scriptwriting tips.

Alfred Bradley Bursary Award

The Alfred Bradley Bursary Award is a £5,000 award for Northern writers new to radio established in 1992 to commemorate the life and work of Alfred Bradley, the distinguished BBC Radio Drama producer. The writer also receives a 12 month mentorship with a BBC Radio Drama producer and the opportunity to gain a BBC Radio 4 drama commission.

Join the 2019 Alfred Bradley Bursary Award-winner, runner-up and BBC Writersroom North Development Producer, Alice Ramsey, for a discussion on the award and writing for radio.
