- Entry is open to UK residents aged 18 or over as at 17th April 2019.
- To enter you need to complete an application form and upload a 5 minute audio piece of your own original previously unbroadcast comedy material.
- Successful applicants will be judged through various rounds (heats, semi-finals and finals).
The BBC Introducing Radio 4 Comedy Award is a talent search organised by BBC Studios Comedy to find the next generation of comedy (including stand-up, sketch, musical and character comedy) stars. The overall winner of the BBC Introducing Radio 4 Comedy Award will receive £1,000 and a 15 minute audio script commission from BBC Studios Comedy.
All five finalists will be offered development support from BBC Studios Comedy with the opportunity to present to networks across the BBC to consider for broadcast, as well as development advice and guidance from the BBC Studios Comedy department and a chance to appear in other slots across the BBC.
