Belgrade Theatre- Young Critics scheme

This year, the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, is launching a brand new Young Critics scheme, offering young people aged 16-23 the chance to gain an invaluable insight into the world of arts journalism and communications.

As part of the package, you’ll get to join us for the press nights of our home-produced shows, experiencing the buzz of a theatrical premiere alongside professional writers and reviewers. You’ll get the opportunity to add your own voice and opinions to conversations around the Belgrade Theatre shows, and have your content shared across the Belgrade’s social media channels, reaching over 30,000 followers on Twitter, and over 20,000 on Facebook.

Entry requirements;

The theatre are looking for enthusiastic individuals aged 16-23 who are passionate about the arts. Successful applicants will have a nose for great stories and new experiences, and a drive to share those with other people. You’ll be confident in forming your own opinions and presenting them to other people, and you’ll need to demonstrate flair and creativity in your chosen medium – but how you share your ideas is entirely up to you!

You don’t need to be an expert in writing or theatre – they are keen to see a wide range of talent and responses, so whether you’re keen to gather voxpops or put together Instagram stories, they want to hear from you.

Deadline

Monday 10 September.

Successful applicants will be contacted by Friday 14 September.

The scheme will run from September 2018 until July 2019.
