Chalk Line Theatre are hosting three workshops in collaboration with COMMON, one of the UK’s leading arts organisations who specialise in supporting greater socio-economic diversity, to provide working-class artists with the opportunity to develop their skills in self-producing in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Each workshop will last for 2 hours and offer a detailed overview on the following elements:
- The process of how to write a strong application to Arts Council England for £15,000 or under.
- How to write a press release and engage with reviewers to encourage them to attend your show.
- How to make your work stand out from the crowd.
The workshops are an introduction into some of the vital skills needed to produce your own work. Supported by the Pleasance Theatre, Chalk Line and COMMON present three workshops on the following dates and times:
14th February 15:00-17:00pm
19th February 14:00-16:00pm
21st February 14:00-16:00pm
There are 20 spaces available for each workshop. The people chosen for these workshops will be selected at random once everyone has expressed their interest.
The sessions are free, and they want to make sure it is available to everyone. Please let them know about any additional access needs you may have, and they will aim to provide support to ensure everyone is accommodated.
