Chester Storyhouse Language Ideas Sessions

Wednesday 15th September 7pm Online
Friday 17th September 10am Garret Bar, Storyhouse

FREE

Storyhouse Language is a festival which celebrates Chester’s diverse speaking cultures. Storyhouse Language welcomes the city’s international community to share their experiences of living in the city, and their own unique cultures through a programme that embraces storytelling, workshops and performances. It can also encompass an exploration of language itself and how it is used to describe individual people or communities.

This event is an opportunity to be involved in what sort of events take place at Storyhouse as part of Storyhouse Language which will take place in January 2022. They believe that everyone has a story or idea which could result in a workshop, an event or a performance. We are also interested in finding out what films you want to see at the cinema too.

You can be an individual or a member of an existing community group – everybody is welcome to take part. All that they ask for is that you are kind, considerate and are non-judgemental whilst listening to to other people’s ideas and stories that may be personal.

Ideas sessions are happening online (zoom link emailed to you prior to the event) and in person but if you cannot attend either and want to be involved please contact nicola@storyhouse.com with your idea. Both events will last for approx. 90 mins but if you can only take part for a short period on time then please still book and just let the Storyhouse know you need to leave or turn up late.
