Common Coffee Mornings- NEXT EVENT FRIDAY 17TH

COMMON are inviting working-class and lower-class creatives and freelance workers in the arts to join us for friendly and supportive coffee mornings during the lockdown.

They heard from many creatives in our community during the first few weeks of lockdown, who were feeling huge pressures to be ‘visible’ and culturally engaged whilst simply trying to keep their heads above water in the face of so much adversity.

They recognised that for many in our community, simply being connected to our peers, rather than feeling pressured to be productive, was a valuable form of support during this difficult time.

That’s why they are offering a positive and uplifting space to digitally unite the creative community every fortnight, to chat about how we can get through this together, and to share thoughts on how we might come back and rebuild more inclusively.

THE NEXT COMMON COFFEE MORNING IS FRIDAY 17TH JULY, FROM 9.30AM TO 11AM

ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND’S PROJECT GRANTS WILL BE REOPENING ON 22ND JULY. BASED ON SUGGESTIONS FROM THE COMMON COMMUNITY DURING THE LAST SESSION ABOUT WHAT SUPPORT THEY NEED, THIS WEEK WILL BE A WORKSHOP ON: ’APPLYING TO ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND’S PROJECT GRANTS’ LED BY GUEST FACILITATOR DAVID BYRNE (ARTISTIC DIRECTOR – NEW DIORAMA THEATRE)
