This event provides an opportunity for artists and environmental professionals to meet each other and make connections, as well as to share skills around creative writing in climate work.

Creative writing can be a powerful tool for sustainability professionals – a way to explore your climate action purpose, reflect on the past, present and future, and communicate your vision to others in effective ways.

When we are busy trying to improve the lives of others and the health of our home planet, we often forget about our non-human Earth companions, who have a lot to teach us and inspire us about communication, working together and caring for our environment.

Writers Gazelle Buchholtz and Joana Avi-Lorie will lead you through a series of writing prompts using pen and paper. You will have the opportunity to connect with others through the writing by sharing your text and/or thoughts on the topic at the workshop, and reflect on how to integrate this as a tool in your work.
