A vibrant and poetic solo show exploring love and attachment, scabby boys in Blackpool, dodgy dates with Dave and the desperate need for a daddy-daughter connection. Dear Little Loz is a poetic exploration of love. Full of wit and compassion, this play explores themes of identity, dreams, attachment theories and the ability to re-write your own story. A familiarly disappointingfirst date prompts Loz to question her view on men and what she believes she needs, wants, and deserves from them. A show spanning two time frames from 2006 to 2019, Loz explores the attachments that have shaped her, but have also left a misty fog around the word ‘Love’ in all its forms. Mixing prose and freeform poetry, Dear Little Loz is a vibrant solo show written and performed by Lauren-Nicole Mayes. Lauren was a finalist for the Sky Studios and Box of Tricks Screen Play Award and is now amongst their northern cohort of underrepresented writers alongside being an Associate Artist at Oldham Coliseum for 2022. As an actress, she has appeared on ITV’s Coronation Street and The Bay Series 2. Dear Little Loz is Izzy Parriss Productions’ Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut. Izzy Parriss Productions was founded in 2021. Izzy has directing/assistant directing/producing credits with theatre companies such as Ambassador Theatre Group, Theatre503, Bomb Factory Theatre, Tightrope Theatre and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
