Digital call out for Welsh Artists- CREU AR-LEIN

Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru responds to the challenge of creating original dramatic work within a period of social distancing with Creu Ar-lein, a series of original plays or dramatic presentations to be shared on digital platforms, as well as continuing their artistic development work online. In order to offer employment for artists during these challenging and uncertain times, and to continue with our activities while theatres are closed, Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru is working with a number of partners in the cultural and creative sectors to present this comprehensive and diverse programme of work.

The first submission deadline is 17 April. There will be further opportunities to submit applications in May and June.

National Theatre Wales and Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru are opening a call for new commissions to make Live Theatre in digital spaces during the ongoing lockdown. Applications for Welsh, English, bilingual or BSL projects are welcome, as are those that contain no spoken language at all.

They invite the theatre artists of Wales to come up with innovative, exciting and human responses to this challenge and help audiences, communities and their theatre makers to come together whilst we are all kept apart.

They will hold a submission round for project ideas each month and will produce 3 commissions a month over the next 3 months .

Each commission will be up to £5000, to include fees and production expenses. All budgets to be allocated and managed in partnership with NTW and Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru.
