Elevator is an annual festival of amazing new theatre drawn from some of the most exciting new theatre talent from the North East and beyond, that takes place each spring at Live Theatre. March 2020 marks the fifth year of Elevator Festival and since 2014 Live have launched 25 brand new plays, worked with 17 Associate Artists and awarded 16 Bursaries.

Brand new theatre productions are put centre stage alongside participatory events, including workshops and discussions. See emerging work at the earliest stages of its development, help shape its future and join in conversations with leading theatre-makers from across the UK.

The Art Of Wellbeing
Artists and practitioners discuss the pressures faced by individuals in the theatre industry, as well as self-care methods and how to work towards a caring reflective practice.
