Farnham Maltings wants to support South East based theatre makers

Farnham Maltings wants to support South East based theatre makers in our towns and villages to create new work right now which responds to and supports our communities in these extraordinary and difficult times.

They are offering a limited programme of grants from £500 to £5000 to support artists to create theatre experiences with and for their community.

Heartened by positive responses to the current crisis – from the balcony singing in Italy, the mass aerobic workouts in Spain to new, digital choir platforms, they want to support exciting, mischievous ideas which fully embrace the requirement of social distancing and turn it on its head.

They will invest in theatre makers based in the south east to explore and deliver something new, big or small, but something with the intention of inspiring interest, warmth and moments of fun amongst our towns and small communities.

If you have a proposal they would like to hear from you as soon as possible

Please submit a maximum of 500 words detailing firstly your idea and approach to the project, where and how it will take place and then more about you and your experience. This should be accompanied by an outline budget.

They will also accept video proposals, these should address the information above and be no longer than 5 mins.

Makers should be able to actively begin their proposal straight away.

NB: South East area excludes all London Boroughs

Please send your proposal to katy.potter@farnhammaltings.com
