The session will include a discussion with the panel followed by a question and answer session, where you can ask our panel members questions about touring rurally as a diverse artist.

The panel includes:

James McDermott: James McDermott is a writer based in East Anglia represented by Independent Talent. He is an Associate Artist at Norwich Theatre Royal and Norwich Arts Centre.

James has written several plays for venues across the country. These include ‘Acid’s Reign’ (Vault Festival 2022), ‘Robin Good: The Politico-Panto’ (Norwich Playhouse), ‘Time & Tide’ (Park Theatre; Offie nominated for Best New Play 2020; longlisted for the Bruntwood, Papatango & Verity Bargate Playwriting Prizes) and ‘Rubber Ring’ (Pleasance Islington/UK Tour; Winner of Pulse Festival’s Suitcase Prize 2017). James’s plays are published by Samuel French.

Corali: Corali is a leader in dance created by artists with a learning disability.

We explore the relationship between performers with and without a learning disability, between dance and other art forms, and between professional and participatory artwork.

We make and tour great performances and love to share our creative practice with other people.

Anusha Subramanyam: Beeja, led by Anusha Subramanyam, performs classical Bharatanatyam, presenting it in a way that is fresh, rigorous and exciting. The company creates innovative work in collaboration with artists from wide ranging disciplines, connecting dance with the worlds of story telling, theatre, music, multi media, and more.
