FRESH is Frumpish Theatre’s first New Writing Festival, dedicated to promoting new short plays by womxn writers.

They are looking for nine new 30-minute plays to be performed as part of FRESH. Theyare looking for stories by womxn and non-binary voices, though the cast does not have to be exclusively all womxn. Your piece can be of any genre and theme.

When submitting your application, please bear in mind they will favour submissions that require minimal tech and set, which can allow a quick turn-around.

Finding a director, cast, and rehearsal space will be your responsibility. That said, if you are selected and need assistance, please do not hesitate to ask and we can help.

23rd November: submissions open
13th December – 5pm: submissions close
4th January – selection announced
January-February: rehearsals
16th-20th February: FRESH Festival (two plays per night, at 6:45 and 8:15) at the Golden Goose Theatre, Camberwell
