For the past ten years, Belarus Free Theatre (BFT) has pioneered creating award-winning theatre at-a-distance and in doing so has developed a robust methodology for online rehearsal.

Led by members of the BFT ensemble, this session will reflect on the best practice and challenges of undertaking a creative process in a digital space. It will explore:

how to run a ‘rehearsal room at a distance’ and how theatre makers can transition this back into a physical space ahead of a performance,
how to use digital technology to devise a new piece and
how to manage online performances.
The session will include practical tasks and tools and techniques that participants can apply to their practice.
