In Situ- Testing Ground new artists residencies

Underlying this programme is community engagement through a socially engaged approach to increasing awareness and access to the Pendle Hill Landscape (AONB).

As part of this program, In Situ  invite artists to come and spend time in the local area developing new works and ideas which can be shared with the local community and wider.

They  have two Artist Residency opportunities for emerging and more established artists

Testing Ground: Artist Residencies

Artist Fee: £1000
Materials Budget: up to £200

This residency aims to give artists with socially engaged practices an opportunity to test out new ways of working in response to the new restrictions brought about by COVID. We appreciate this is a difficult time for artists to adapt and rethink socially engaged work and we hope to support artists to trail new ways of engaging with others.

These residencies are intended to:

• Provide artists with the space, time and support to develop their ideas
• Develop new ways of working with people with support from an experienced team
• Create a platform for artists to share their work with audiences and engage with the local community

Testing Ground: Artist Residencies For Emerging Artists

Artist Fee: £800
Materials Budget: up to £200
*Please note this opportunity is aimed at artists within the early stages of their career and practice.

This residency aims to give emerging artists with an interest in socially engaged practices an opportunity to test out new ways of working in response to the new restrictions brought about by COVID.
