JOB: Engagement Manager to join the Creative Learning and Engagement team, Royal Exchange Theatre

The Royal Exchange Theatre is currently seeking an Engagement Manager to join the Creative Learning and Engagement (CLE) team.

The Royal Exchange Theatre sits at the heart of Manchester’s culturally dynamic city centre. We are one of the largest and most compelling producing theatre companies in the UK.

Participation, Learning and Engagement projects have long been at the heart of the Royal Exchange and in recent years this work has grown into a significant £400,000+ work stream, engaging over 5,500 people per year. A key area of the Creative Learning and Engagement department’s work is Local Exchange. This is a company-wide approach to working in communities enabling RET to be resident in areas across Greater Manchester and create a legacy for the RET, our partners and the community.

This is the foundation of our work with children, young people, schools and elders. It brings CLE, Marketing, Development, Programmes, Production and Operations together to work with partners in selected GM boroughs and Manchester wards to engage individuals and communities with little or no access to the theatre.

This is an exciting post for an experienced project manager with a track record of working with people traditionally underrepresented in theatre and who possesses strong partnership building and communication skills. This role will be critical in development of Local Exchange which will enable the RET to form deeper and more impactful relationships with communities across Greater Manchester.

Closing date: 10am, Monday 2 December 2019
Interviews: Tuesday 10 December 2019

Salary: £27,000 – £30,000

Responsible to: Director of Creative Learning and Engagement
