Discovery is Kali’s free writing programme for aspiring playwrights in the West Midlands, East Midlands and London- in collaboration with Birmingham Repertory Theatre Leicester Curve and Theatre 503,
It will run from September 23 – March 24.
Criteria
- Open to UK based women and non binary writers of South Asian descent* who are eligible to live and work in the UK. *At least one parent must be descended from the diasporas of the Indian subcontinent
- Writers must be able to get to one the partner venues. (A small bursary is available to help with travel expenses)
- Writers must be 18+
- No previous writing experience is necessary. This opportunity is for writers who have never had a full length play professionally produced.
Deadline
5pm Monday 24 July
Our Reader Panel at each venue will read and select the four most promising plays. They will let you know the outcome by mid-September.
