Kings Head Theatre- Rolling script submission window (first week of each month)

During the first week of every month The Readers’ Room will open for artists to submit drafts at any developmental stage. The Kings Head will ask you what kind of feedback you’re looking for. You will then receive a script report of 1 – 3 pages.

They will review up to 10 plays per month and the form should take about 5 minutes to complete.

Whilst the programme is open to anyone, they’ll specifically be prioritising writers who:

  • Are 25 or over and have not been able to access similar levels of support on other development programmes
  • Self-define as early career

THE CURRENT SUBMISSION WINDOW IS 4 – 8 SEPT 2023.

This scheme is facilitated by King’s Head Theatre’s associate company, No Such Thing. They are a dramaturgy company focused on collaborative playwriting and new work development run by Izzy Edwards and Robbie Nestor.

They are a small team and as a result might not be able to provide support to every script that is submitted, but will let you know either way whether your submission has been selected or not.
