Submissions are now open to UK based playwrights for the London Horror Festival Playwriting Competition, in association with the Old Red Lion Theatre.
Through their annual playwriting competition, they are looking for scripts with a time frame of 45-60 minutes. The winning applicant will have their play performed on the opening night of the festival at the Old Red Lion Theatre on 15 October 2017. The play will be directed by ORL Artistic Director,
Clive Judd, and the winner will also receive dramaturgical support from the ORL Literary Department.
Deadline: 28 August 2017 at 12 pm
Entries made after this date will not be considered. The winning plays will be announced in September
How to apply:
Scripts must be submitted in either pdf or word format. Your script will not be read if it is not in one of these two formats.
Please also note that scripts written for television, film or radio, treatments or incomplete works, short plays under 45 minutes duration, musicals, plays not in the English Language or scripts that have already been read by the ORL Literary Department will not be accepted.
