‘Lost and Found’ Live storytelling event at Edinburgh Fringe- BBC Ouch

Ouch runs the disability part of the BBC website and a podcast on the BBC with a focus on disability and diverse stories. They are looking for unusual, complex and humorous stories just waiting to be told … and they are here to help you tell them. If chosen, you’ll get to work with a top comedy script producer and perform it at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

They are holding their fourth BBC Ouch storytelling event at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August. The theme this year is ‘Lost and Found’

Deadline

10am on Thursday 27th June

Guidelines

  • They ask that the story is true, you are disabled or have a mental health difficulty and that this is at the heart of your story
  • They particularly like funny stories or those that give an insight into something the audience may not have thought about before.
  • The performed versions must run no longer than about seven or eight minutes.
  • You need to be at least 18 years old to take part.
  • They require you to come to Edinburgh and perform your story in person, so make sure you’re free and able to join on 5 August 2019.  Accommodation is available, and travel funding is available if you are based in the UK.
