Mainspring Arts is thrilled to announce a brand new project: Mainspring Virtual Studios. Over the next year, they will be offering a range of different online creative courses, specifically designed for neurodivergent people. These courses are free of charge.
Places will be randomly allocated via ballot. Two spaces are reserved for BAME participants on each course. Any BAME applicant not selected in their specific ballot will go into the wider ballot.
The courses we are offering are:
- Creative writing for beginners
- Creative writing for those with a little more experience
- Writing for children and young adults – please note this means writing YA / Middle Grade novels, and the course is for adults
The courses will run on Zoom for one hour a week, over 4 consecutive weeks. At the end of the course, participants will have the opportunity to submit up to 5000 words of their writing for a 1:1 feedback session with the tutor.
The intermediate and beginner courses will begin on Wednesday May 5th at 7:30pm
The children’s / YA course will begin on Thursday May 6th at 7:30pm
The courses will then continue on the same day at the same time unless there are unforeseen circumstances.
