A 2 hour writing for performance workshop aimed at playwrights, poets, performers and theatre-makers who want to make autobiographical work.

How can you talk about yourself in a way that’s not self-indulgent and engages an audience rather than bombarding them with anecdotes?
A two hour writing for performance workshop aimed at playwrights, poets, performers and theatre-makers who want to make autobiographical work or use experiences from their own lives as inspiration for a performance. Naomi Sumner will lead a series of exercises where writers will explore their own identity and mine their memories to generate material which will be turned into a short monologue or performance poem that’s unique to the writer. While there’s no expectation for participants to share their work with each other, those who WANT to are welcome to, and time will be allocated at the end of the session for readings.
