The Other Palace

This August, Masterclass is hosting a programme of events at The Other Palace Theatre for aspiring playwrights. They are looking to work with young people aged 16-18 who are interested in writing and/or have something to say about the world.

Monday 1 August – you will learn about the building blocks of storytelling and, with the help of professional writer Connor Allen (Children’s Laureate of Wales for 2021-2023), create a monologue about something that is important to you.

Monday 8 August – work on your monologue with a professional actor, and then either perform the monologue yourself, or allow the actor to perform your words. We will then film or audio record the performance.

Later in August, with your permission, they will share the monologues in a mini-digital-festival of new work via our socials @MasterclassTRH

Each workshop will run from 1 – 5pm at The Other Palace, please ensure you are able to make both dates and can get to and from The Other Palace Theatre (12 Palace Street London, SW1E 5JA).
