Middle Child- Library Talks

Library Talks usually take place on the first Friday of each month, from 10-11.30am. They are on the same day as the monthly Book Club discussions. Book Club will follow: from 11.45am-1.15pm. 

Part-workshop, part-fireside chats these sessions will ask the big questions with no expectations of finding simple answers. There will be tea, biscuits and DMCs.

Written Contracts with Equity – Fri 1 Sep, 11am-1pm
Ellie Drake from Equity will pop-in to help freelance performing arts workers across Hull understand the importance of written contracts, what should be contained within them and how to negotiate your position confidently. Ellie will look at asserting and knowing your rights and discuss how Equity uses its power as a union to advance and protect the rights of the industry’s workforce.

Each Library Talk has a maximum capacity of 30 people, with places allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.
