New Writing Showcase- Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse

Fri 12 Jul to Sat 13 Jul 2019

Three Shows. Ten Writers. One Week.

Work doesn’t stop for emerging writers after they finish the Playwrights’ Programme. Come and see what they have been up to in the free New Writing showcase, featuring ten recent graduates. Over one week, our writers will workshop and rehearse extracts and shorts from plays they have developed since the end of the course, culminating in three showcases on the Friday and Saturday.

The Everyman and Playhouse New Works department are committed to scouting and nurturing new talent from the North West. Each year, up to ten writers are invited to join our Playwrights’ Programme, working closely with our New Works team to hone their playwriting skills and knowledge, with a view to write a full length stage play. Applications for the 2019/20 programme will open in late July 2019. For more information on the programme, please email

Please note: Tickets to the showcases are free but please book to secure your place.
