Introducing Wednesday Chats at Omnibus Theatre. They’re throwing open the digital doors and inviting artists to sit down and have an online chat with Artistic Director, Marie McCarthy. Whether you want to discuss an idea, collaborate, find out about their artist development schemes or give feedback on the work they’ve done so far – Omnibus have set up eight 15 minute slots each Wednesday for you to chat with them. 

Artistic Director Marie McCarthy has said: “During an online face-to-face conversation, we can cover so much more ground than by email; my response rate is quicker and our dialogue is more directional. Many of the artists I’ve spoken to so far have struggled to make contact with organisations – they have scripts and ideas they want to develop, but they might not know how to go about this or who to talk to. Wednesday Chats is there to help artists take control, feel valued and acknowledge their work. From personal experience as an actor and theatremaker, I remember how difficult it was to make contact with venues – organisations can feel impenetrable and artists can feel stuck in a waiting game. It also allows us to identify where and how further development can happen.”
