Open call for disabled comedy writer- Mighty Bunny

Thanks to the support of the BBC Radio Indie Development Fund, Mighty Bunny is looking to find and develop up-and-coming Deaf, Disabled and/or Neurodivergent writers. Mighty Bunny will invite writers whose work we like to attend free, accessible, online workshops where you can meet and get advice, input and feedback on your work from established comedy writers, performers and producers.

You will  be mentored by experienced script editors and producers to hone your ideas to fit a brief. Anyone whose material makes it into the final script will be paid at WGGB rates.

They’ll also look out for people who have the potential to develop longer form projects – and mentor you through the process of developing and pitching your ideas.

Eligibility

  • The scheme is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is Deaf, Disabled and/or Neurodivergent
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK
  • You don’t need to have had work broadcast before (but if you have, that’s fine too)

Deadline

Wednesday 5th October 2022 at 2359 BST.
