OSO Arts Centre-new writing initiative

OSO Arts Centre, Barnes,  are excited to announce that they are opening applications for their latest new writing initiative – encompassing the development and staging of two all-new productions to be developed and presented in the venue in July, as part of the Barnes Fringe Festival.

They are looking for full-length, original works, either from companies or plays that have a director and actors in mind – although they ask that they’ve not previously been staged for longer than three weeks.

The centre will provide rehearsal space, technical assistance and all the rest during the month of the show, as well as personal developmental support: including an opportunity to have a rehearsed reading in front of an audience to test it out. Off the back of audience feedback and a final week’s workshopping with, the selected plays will then get the chance to perform again as a full production!

Key Dates

Midnight on Saturday 27th April: Deadline for script submissions

Monday 1st to Thursday 4th July: Rehearsals for the selected plays at the OSO, with rehearsed readings taking place at 4pm on the 2nd and 4th July

Friday 5th to Thursday 11th July: Further rehearsals and workshopping at the OSO
