Writers based in South-West England (Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Scilly Isles, Somerset or Wiltshire) are invited to apply to be Papatango’s 2019 Resident Playwright, as part of their new WriteWest programme.

The Resident will receive a commission of £6,500 to write a new play, with R&D support and mentoring from leading theatre-makers across the region. No professional experience is required – just a pitch for the story you want to write and a sample of your writing.

Deadline 

5pm on Tuesday 25 June

All applicants will be contacted within a week of the deadline, with interviews for shortlisted candidates in the second week of July.
