Part of the Main Online Workshops: Being Your Own Dramaturg

Good writing is really good editing. But what does that entail and how do you do it? During this session, participants will gain a set of tools and questions to aid in the redrafting process. Not everyone can have the luxury of working with a dramaturg, but you can certainly train yourself to give yourself constructive criticism. Please note this workshop is intended for participants who have already written the first draft of a piece of work.

This workshop will cover:

-Structure and style

-Different kinds of narratives

-Ensuring your story has clarity

-Character development and voice

-Text and subtext

-Authorial voice versus character voice.
