Join award-winning playwrights Yasmin Joseph and Adura Onashile as they discuss their plays, their inspirations, and their careers. How do you build a healthy creative process? How do you hone a script through the different stages of development? What can you expect from being a writer in the rehearsal room?

Yasmin Joseph won this year’s James Tait Black Prize for Drama for her debut play J’Ouvert, which premiered at Theatre503 in 2019. Yasmin is the current writer-in-residence at Sister Pictures and is on attachment at the Royal Court Theatre as a winner of the Channel 4 Playwrights scheme.

Adura Onashile’s Expensive S**t, adapted from the Fringe First Award-winning play of the same name, premiered this month at the BFI London Film Festival. She has written and directed the forthcoming Ghosts, an immersive AR experience for the National Theatre of Scotland.
