Litmas Fest
During the month of August, the Pleasance relocates to Edinburgh to run 27 performance spaces at the Festival Fringe, so often their London venue becomes a maintenance hub. Through Litmus Fest, it instead becomes a hive of R&D activity for developing new work and new ways of working. The findings of this development period are then presented over one week at Pleasance Islington, 24-30 Sept 2018.
What Pleasance are offering:
- 2 weeks of rehearsal time for R&D
- 1 day of onstage/technical development
- 1 day to get in followed by 2 days of public performances in the StageSpace studio
- Guidance and mentoring from the Pleasance team
What you need to provide:
- Ambition to develop and experiment with a specific aspect of your practice
- 30-60min work-in-progress performance for a public audience
- Any props or set pieces needed for the performances
- A technician/operator for the performances

A Pleasance Scratch
A Pleasance Scratch is an evening of variety, ideas and fun; a chance to see artists present brave, new work at the first stages of development.
What Pleasance are offering:
- 2 days of rehearsal space
- Mentoring and support from our team
- A slot in our Main House theatre to share your 10 minute piece of work-in-progress with an audience and get their feedbackBasic technical support for the event
Each project should:
- Provide any props the performance requires
- Provide all technical requirements with as much notice as possible
- Be available all day on the day of the event
