To celebrate Bolton Pride, join playwright Zoe Cooper for this online writing workshop where you will explore how to tell stories which reflect the diversity of identity and relationships onstage. This workshop is for writers who feel that their stories aren’t being told.

After the session, all writers attending this workshop are invited to submit a short piece of work to the Octagon to receive written feedback from the Literary team.

Zoe Cooper

Zoe’s most recent play, Out of Water, was about a teacher called Claire and her wife Kit who move from London to the north east coast. To be nearer family, to put down roots. To have a baby. The play was commissioned by the RSC and the Orange Tree Theatre. It was shortlisted for the Susan Smith Blackburn Award and for the Charles Wintour Evening Standard Award. Other recent work includes Jess and Joe Forever (Orange Tree, Traverse, various international productions) which also received a production at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, directed by the Octagon’s Artistic Director Lotte Wakeham.
