Producers First CALLOUT

A Tamasha x New Earth development programme for early career ethnically diverse producers

This 12 month programme will consist of a series of bespoke workshops for a select group of producers looking to make the next step in their career. Each workshop will cover a specific area of production, and will include the opportunity to network with industry professionals, learn new skills and develop relationships with fellow producers.

As part of the programme, each producer will also receive mentoring from an industry professional in which they will be able to receive bespoke guidance as they manoeuvre to the next stages of their career.

Criteria

  • For producers working in the subsidised theatre sector who are at the early stages of their careers. You do not need to have a certain amount of experience, but you do need to clearly demonstrate your interest in producing theatre. The topics covered will include contracts, Arts Council grants, freelance tips and working with subsidised venues – if that sounds up your street, this is the programme for you.
  • Your interest doesn’t have to strictly lie within presenting and touring shows; it may be that you are interested in audio, development work or any other form of storytelling – as long as your aim is to produce theatre
  • They are keen to receive applications from artists from all ethnically diverse backgrounds, and are particularly interested in British East and South East Asian artists, reflecting the community New Earth Theatre serves.
