A free playwriting group for Muslim Women in Highbury & Islington to connect and express stories. This space of openness is for writers of all abilities, with weekly writing exercises and prompts to facilitate the free flowing of words.

This is a free, drop-in writing group for Muslim Women living in Highbury & Islington, facilitated by Maryam Shaharuddin.

For all levels of writing. Prayer Room available, tea/snacks available.

Maryam is a facilitator and theatremaker who co-creates theatre with young people and communities in the UK and Malaysia. She has facilitated workshops & performances at a range of theatres, charities and schools including, Almeida, Angel Shed, Kiln, PositivelyUK, Unlock Drama and the UNHCR. Joy and play are at the heart of her practice and she is passionate about using theatre for social change.
