What to read ground-breaking modern plays and natter about them in a welcoming space over tea and biscuits?
Yes? Then you sound like a radical reader!
Radical Readers is a brand-new play reading group run by award winning playwright and Box of Tricks Associate Paddy Hughes.
Whether you are a seasoned reader or a first timer we want you to feel like this is a space for you. They’ll bring the plays (and the biscuits), so you won’t need to buy any scripts.
This time at Radical Readers, you will be reading Plastic Figurines, a story inspired by real events in the life of award-winning playwright Emma Carmen-Greenhill. This funny and moving play explores autism, and the relationship between siblings with very different world views.
Can’t make it? They are set to hold Radical Readers in Wigan, Oldham and Liverpool before the end of this year, so keep an eye out for our future events.
