The Royal Court are looking for 12 committed theatre curators and creatives aged 16 – 21 who are interested in routes outside of performing. This 8 month programme (April – Dec 2020) integrates young people in to the heart of the building, builds a deep knowledge of the Royal Court, encourages arts activism, supports the development of theatre makers and provides pathways into the industry.
The Agitators all receive dramaturgical training (previously our Script Panel), facilitation skills, invited into rehearsals and techs of shows in their season and expertise workshops with industry professionals. As an Agitator you will support-facilitate workshop sessions, attend dinners with political activists, be assigned a mentor from the Royal Court staff and support and curate Big Idea events and creative collaborations with the Royal Court season.
They actively encourage applications from young people who are not in education, employment or training. There are expenses, payment and a bursary scheme to support involvement in the programme.
