They are looking to find the best new plays in the region and the country. They are seeking work which is bold, brilliant and essential, for plays which reflect the here and now, writing from unique voices with original perspectives, based around ideas not often explored, stories that are at home not only in our city stages  at Sheffield Theatres.

The current script window is open from September 23rd and closing on October 21st.

They do not have the capacity to accept scripts outside the submission window or in any other method, if you don’t believe you will be able to submit work at this time the next opportunity will likely be in late spring 2020.

You will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of your submission, which will then be reviewed by someone in the artistic team.They  read scripts not only in the search for future productions, but also to find writers with whom we may wish to develop relationships with in the future and any feedback given will reflect this.

Unfortunately they are unable to provide critical feedback on all scripts received, though we will always inform writers of the final outcome.
